Health Enterprises Network

The Health Enterprises Network is an economic development–focused business network formed by the leadership of Louisville‘s health–related businesses, from hospitals and health services companies to medical device manufacturers and service providers. Our vision is for the region to be globally recognized as a “location of choice” for health-related businesses, researchers, educators, investors and consumers. Our mission is to champion and foster the growth of the region's health-related economy.

The Health Enterprises Network is a nonprofit organization supported by our investor and member companies. We welcome the participation of all businesses with a health–related specialty, from specialized construction and equipment leasing companies to hospitals and service providers. The Network demonstrates value to its investors and members in a variety of ways.

First, the Network participates in the attraction of businesses and the expansion and creation of businesses throughout the region in partnership with Greater Louisville Inc., the Louisville Medical Center Development Corporation and the University of Louisville. Specifically, the Network offers subject–matter expertise on the regional health economy and augments industry contacts.

Second, the Network provides opportunities for decision makers in Louisville's health-related economy to gather and do business. These “knowledge networking” events provide a means for networking the leadership in a face–to–face setting and include interesting speakers on topics relevant to economic development.

Third, the Network gathers information on the health industry in the Louisville area and coordinates economic studies of the regional health–related economy. The Network uses this information to assist with targeted economic development efforts and brings this information to investors, analysts, consultants and companies nationwide.
